This wire rack is used as a holder for larger wire spools and cones. The wire stand consists of a cast iron foot where you place the wire spool on a metal stick. The thread is pulled through the loop on the longer metal stick and then threaded through the sewing machine as usual. This wire rack ensures sufficient supply of the wire and maintains the wire tension.
